Observation Period
> NEUTRAL:01
You are a man who has been waiting patiently for someone. Some call them an anomaly. You call them a bringer of hope, who could fix the doomed world you love so much.
You hoped they would be someone like-minded.
You are... underwhelmed.
For someone with such great power, they only ever seem to use it for self-preservation. It's as if they're just going through the motions. Killing some, sparing some, only based on their own whims. They never tread far from the beaten path.
So much potential, and they don't even realize it.
(You could show them. You want to show them. But how would they ever find you, without knowing they could look?)
...
Is this truly the one you're looking for?
Still... it seems like they're having fun. Just before they step past the door to the surface, they look behind them and smile. And, despite everything, you can't help but return it in kind.
(You hope they come back soon.)
> PACIFIST:02
You are a man who believes in second chances. For people, for ideas.
For a world fated to darkness.
And this second chance, it seemed, was paying off very well. Where the last one carved a meandering path forward, this one acted with surgical precision. A white-hot light that cut through anything in its path.
This, you gathered, was the real anomaly: not the human, but the beating red heart underneath. Their guiding light.
The SOUL.
(How lucky you were, to finally meet them.)
It wasn't always easy to connect with others or end a conflict without losing anyone. But they were willing to experiment, and along their journey, they never failed to find a way.
Except...
The young prince. Asriel Dreemurr, who hurt others in his curiosity and refused to let go until the end.
Asriel Dreemurr, who saved his people and watched them go free, yet could not be saved himself.
(Asriel Dreemurr, who watched his family leave without him, as if he never existed.)
The SOUL lingered on that field of golden flowers. Talking to him again and again, coming back and forth, hoping to hear just a little more. Every time, they were met with the same reply:
"Don't you have anything better to do?"
...
Interesting.
Beneath their tears, you caught... something else. Something that, perhaps, even they hadn't noticed yet.
A glint of dissatisfaction.
If they had just done something different, or been a little kinder... could they have changed the outcome? Was it really impossible to save him?
What was this story hiding from them, beneath the surface?
You smiled.
That flickering spark of red light... truly was beautiful, wasn't it?
(You just hoped they'd choose to forgive you, too.)
> GENOCIDE:03
You are a man who saw one world enveloped in a black wind, then another.
The SOUL's curiosity got the better of them. And so, there was nothing left.
And yet...
They were back.
They wanted to go back.
Even if it meant putting their existence, and the fate of this world, in the hands of another.
They loved this world too much to leave it behind, no matter the price.
(And maybe, it wouldn't matter what they did before, so long as they found a happy ending by the end of it.)
...
You suspect it won't be long before they find you, too.
Excellent.
> PACIFIST:04
You are a man who has been torn to pieces spanning across time and space itself.
It just so happens that one of these pieces rests behind a grey door, a room between rooms.
The SOUL seems excited to meet you. Watching from afar is not quite the same as seeing you up close.
You find yourself feeling much the same.
They walk in circles around you as if waving hello. And when you fade away, they linger on this room, too.
(You wish you could wave back.)
But it'll all be okay, won't it?
You'll be meeting each other again very, very soon.
